She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Griffith University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. Samantha was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2016.
Prior to joining the Fisher Dore team, Samantha worked for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service practicing exclusively in criminal defence. The role afforded her the opportunity to provide meaningful assistance to many vulnerable people. Through this experience, Samantha developed a strong compassion for those who find themselves facing criminal offences. She understands the importance of providing professional and culturally-appropriate legal advice.
Samantha appears daily in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court. Through her work and exposure to the criminal justice system, she has gained extensive advocacy experience in a broad range of proceedings.
