Fisher Dore represented the client on Appeal and had the conviction quashed and a re-trial ordered with a not guilty verdict thereafter with continued subsequent immigration succeess.

Brisbane Fisher Dore Lawyer Mac Gray, represented a client in the Bundaberg District Court on re-trial proceedings, after being found guilty with previous representatives in their first trial. Fisher Dore represented the client in the Queensland Court of Appeal and was able to have the conviction quashed and a re-trial ordered. Subsequently, our office was able to secure a verdict of not guilty at the second trial.

Ordinarily, the defendant would have been released immediately, however, Immigration detention continued to detain the client. With the swift assistance of Fisher Dore migration lawyer Caitlin White, the team were able to have his visa status decision overturned, and the client was released from immigration detention shortly after his acquittal.

The client ultimately received a verdict of not guilty and then his release from immigration detention in the space of 2 business days.
