Not Guilty – Brisbane District Court

Fisher Dore achieved yet another acquittal.

Our client was charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm. The trial commenced in the Brisbane District Court on 7 June 2016.

At the trial, Counsel for the defendant argued that the complainant was unreliable and accordingly, the Crown had failed to discharge the onus of proving the charge beyond reasonable doubt.

The jury deliberated for approximately 40 minutes before ultimately returning a verdict of not guilty. Needless to say, our client was very happy with the result.
