Michael grew up in Cairns and on the Atherton Tablelands. He spent the first 10 years of his working life in the Brisbane building industry, before making a career change and studying law. Now a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in Criminal Defence, his law career began in 2013 when he took a role with the ATSILS Office in Mount Isa. Over the next few years, he gained experience across the region, from Roma and Cunnamulla to Burketown and Mornington Island. Michael studied further and completed his Masters of Laws in Brisbane. However Cairns had always been home to Michael, so in 2018 he returned to share his expertise with the Cairns community.
